The Youngstown State men's golf team will compete in five events across four different states from early September to early October during the fall portion of its 2023-24 season. Head Coach Tony Joy announced the team's complete fall schedule on Tuesday.
"The team is really looking forward to a very competitive fall season," Joy said. "Returning to Turning Stone Resort for an event hosted by Boston College and a new event hosted by Miami (Ohio) at The Virtues Golf Club near Zanesville will be great challenges for our returning veterans, transfers and incoming freshmen."
The Penguins will begin the fall campaign on Sept. 3-4 with the Red Bandana Invitational hosted by Boston College at Turning Stone Resort's Kaluhyat Course in Verona, N.Y. YSU will then travel to Huntington, W. Va., for the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf & Country Club on Sept. 11-12. Youngstown State will then take part in The Virtues Invitational hosted by Miami (Ohio) at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio, on Sept. 25-26.
The Penguins will begin the month of October with the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio (Oct. 2-3). YSU will close out its fall season on Oct. 8-10 with the Bucknell Fall Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
