Good Times, Great Golf Highlight First-Ever Two-Day State Farm Penguin Club Scholarship Golf Outing

More than 250 golfers participated over the past two days at the Yongstown Country Club as part of the 2023 State Farm Penguin Club Scholarship Golf Outing. The outing was also supported by A.P. O'Horo, Compco, Johnson Controls, Yellowstone Industries and R.G. Steel.
Two perfect days were appreciated by all the participants as temperatures for last year's event were in the lower 90's. For the first time, the event was held over a two-day span with groups playing on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Following the 18 holes in the afternoon yesterday, golfers enjoyed a dinner in the clubhouse and a chat with YSU head men's basketball coach Jerrod Calhoun. On Thursday, YSU head women's basketball coach John Barnes was the featured speaker at the luncheon.
