Guins Play Three Matches In Two Days in N.C.

The Youngstown State men's tennis team wraps up non-league play with three matches in Wilmington, N.C. YSU tangles with Illinois State and UNCW on Friday before battling DePaul on Saturday at the Battle of the Beach at the UNCW Tennis Courts.
On Friday, YSU faces the Redbirds (6-8) at 10 a.m. and the Seahawks (4-5) at 2 p.m. on Friday before closing out its visit with a Saturday foray at 11 a.m. vs. the Blue Demons (7-10).
The Guins (5-7) had a strong trip to Alabama last week over spring break competing against UAB and Samford. The Penguins dropped a tough 4-3 contest at Samford in their last contest.
This spring, Nathan Favier and Laurentiu Mandocescu lead the way with seven singles wins. Javi Gonzalez Pla is third on the squad with six wins.
YSU opens Horizon League play on March 25 when it plays host to Northern Kentucky.
