Penguins Close Out Fall Tournament Campaign in California

The Youngstown State women's tennis team makes their annual November trip to California to compete at the CSUN Invitational which will be held Friday through Sunday at the Matador Tennis Center.
Matches start at 9 a.m. Pacific/Noon Eastern time each day at the complex. Doubles play is set for Noon Pacific/3 p.m. Eastern and another round of singles is set for 1 p.m. Pacific/4 p.m. Eastern time.
The Penguins were last in action on Oct. 20-22 when they played at the Cleveland State Invitational. The three-day event in California will conclude YSU's fall tournament slate.
YSU has participated in the fall CSUN Invitational in five of the past six years since the 2017-18 campaign. The annual November outdoor tournament appearance has marked the conclusion of the fall campaign in each of those four years.
Other schools participating in this week's event include CSUN, Cal Lutheran, Cal State Fullerton, Middle Tennessee State, Pacific, UC Irvine, UTEP and Westmont. The invitational will be held under hidden dual format.
This fall, Julia Marko leads the team with seven singles wins while Lorena Cedeno has won six singles contests.
