Northeast Ohio Standout Jordan Kish Signs to Join YSU Men’s Golf

Northeast Ohio standout Jordan Kish has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Youngstown State men's golf program in the fall of 2024, Head Coach Tony Joy announced on Thursday.
"Jordan will be a very positive addition to our team in the fall of 2024," said Joy. "He will bring a wealth of talent and experience to our program after putting together extremely successful junior and high school careers. We could not be more excited to add Jordan to the talented core of players we already have within the program."
Kish, a native of Massillon, Ohio, was a four-year letter winner and two-time Stark County Player of the Year while playing for his father, Head Coach Jim Kish, at Jackson High School. He claimed Stark County Player of the Year honors while qualifying for the Ohio Division I State Tournament as a junior in 2022 and as a senior in 2023. Kish earned First-Team All-Federal League honors each of his final three seasons after being a second team selection as a freshman in 2020. He was also named First-Team All-Stark County and First-Team All-Northeast District each of his final three seasons after being an honorable mention pick at both the county and district level as a freshman.
As a senior in 2023, Kish posted a scoring average of 74.6 with a low round of 70. He claimed three tournament victories during his senior campaign, winning at the Hudson Invitational, the Barrington Invitational and the Aurora Invitational. As a junior in 2022, Kish recorded a 75.5 scoring average and a low round of 68 while picking up four individual tournament titles. As a sophomore in 2021, he averaged 74.2 strokes per round with a low round of 69 while earning medalist honors at the Walsh Jesuit Invitational. Kish also qualified for the Ohio Amateur Championships during the summer of 2022 after firing a round of 71 at Chagrin Valley Country Club. That performance advanced him to the three-day Ohio Amateur at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Kish is the son of Jim and Jo, and he intends to study business administration or information technology at Youngstown State. He was named Academic All-Ohio for maintaining a 3.897 non-weighted GPA in the classroom.
