YSU Men’s Golf Announces Spring Schedule

The Youngstown State men's golf team will compete in six events across four different states during the spring portion of its 2023-24 season. Head Coach Tony Joy announced the team's complete spring schedule on Wednesday.
"We are very excited about the schedule we were able to put together this upcoming spring," said Joy. "We have a great mix of events we are familiar with as well three new events hosted by Eastern Kentucky, East Carolina and Bowling Green. The spring schedule will provide our team with great competition and preparation leading up to the Horizon League Championships."
The Penguins will begin their spring season on Feb. 19-20 with the World Golf Village Collegiate hosted by Eastern Kentucky at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. After nearly a month away from official competition, YSU will return to action on March 18-19 with the ECU Intercollegiate hosted by East Carolina at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
The Guins will continue their spring slate on April 1-2 with the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind. Youngstown State will then compete in The Jewell hosted by Northern Kentucky on April 6-7 at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio. The Penguins will also participate in the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate hosted by Bowling Green on April 15-16 at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
The spring season will culminate with the 2024 Horizon League Golf Championships on April 20-22 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. The NCAA Regionals are slated for May 13-15 at six different regional sites.
YSU is coming off a fall season that included five total tournaments across four different states from early September to early October. The Penguins earned a season-best fifth-place team finish at the Bucknell Invitational on Oct. 10 to conclude their fall campaign.
