Guins Set to Compete at ITA Midwest Regionals in Michigan

The Youngstown State women's tennis team will begin competition at the ITA Midwest Regionals starting on Thursday at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The Penguins are making their first appearance back at Michigan since winning the Horizon League Championship in early May.
Schools with athletes in the Regionals include Michigan, Bowling Green, Chicago State, Cleveland State, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Illinois, UIC, Illinois, Marquette, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wisconsin, Milwaukee and Youngstown State.
Singles matches start on Thursday at 8 a.m. while the doubles main draw will begin on Friday at 8 a.m. Matches on Saturday will get underway at 8 o'clock.
YSU is coming off a strong effort at the CSU Viking Invitational this past weekend. This fall, Cecilia Rosas is 5-1 while Julia Marko and Jessica Stanmore are both 4-1. In doubles play, Rosas and Marko are 3-2 to lead the way.
