
Dankle Finishes Fifth to Pace YSU Women at HL Meet

Indianapolis, Ind. - Youngstown State freshman Jael Dankle finished fifth in the 500-yard freestyle to lead the Penguins on the first day of swimming events at the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium.
Dankle had a personal-best time of 5:01.59 to tie for fifth place in the event. Senior Casey Prentice finished 16th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.57 seconds.
In the 200-yard freestyle, the Penguins posted a time of 1:37.54 to finish sixth.
The second day of swimming at the league meet is set to get underway at 9:15 a.m. on Friday with the finals set for 4 p.m. Events on tap for tomorrow include the200 Medley Relay, the 400 IM, the 100 Butterfly, the 200 Freestyle, the 100 Breaststroke, the 100 Backstroke and the 800 Freestyle Relay.
