Penguins Pick Up Second Straight Win with Dual Victory Over St. Francis (Pa.)

The Youngstown State women's golf team picked up its second straight win with a 308-362 dual victory over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday at Grand View Golf Club in Braddock, Pa.
Puthita Khuanrudee earned medalist honors with a single-round score of 72 while Danae Rugola placed second with a 76. Khuanrudee claimed medalist honors for the first time this season and the third time in her career. She became the 10th golfer in program history to win at least three events. Khuanrudee has now recorded back-to-back top-five finishes after finishing tied for second in YSU's victory at the Nevel Meade Collegiate on Tuesday.
Jenna Vivo finished third and matched her low round of the season with a 78 while Christina Lewis placed fourth with a 79. Madie Smithco finished fifth with an 81 while Tori Utrup and Victoria Gräns each carded an 84 to tie for seventh.
The Penguins earned their second straight victory after winning the Nevel Meade Collegiate by 12 strokes on Tuesday. YSU earned its third win overall this season. The Penguins also won a dual match against Charleston Southern in their season opener on Feb. 20.
Youngstown State will continue its spring season on April 10-11 with the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.
