
Three Guins Earn Event Wins in Dual At Denison

Granville, Ohio - Soma Albert, Cody Thill and Ben Gingher picked up event wins for the Youngstown State men's swimming and diving program against Denison on Saturday at the Trumbull Aquatic Center.
Albert won the 200-yard backstroke, Gingher took first in the 100 breaststroke and Thill won the one-meter diving event in his collegiate debut.
In the 200 back, Albert posted a time of 1:55.09, which was just seven hundredths off his school mark. In the 100 breast, Gingher clocked a time of 57.70 seconds to take first. Thill scored 265.05 points in the one-meter dive to take first while placing second in the three-meter with a score of 237.83.
In the 100 back, Albert placed second with a time of 53.45 seconds while Ales Zupanec finished third at 54.46 seconds. In the 200 breast, Gingher was second with a time of 2:06.94.
Wilson Cannon took third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.81 seconds and was fourth in the 200 free swimming a time of 1:47.01.
Freshman Chris Barton was fourth in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:01.71 and Gavin Redden was fourth in the 50 free with a time of 21.70 seconds.
