Penguins Cruise to 7-0 Victory Over IUP

The Youngstown State women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over IUP on Saturday afternoon at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Penguins (2-4) won all six singles matches in straight sets and won all three doubles tilts against the Crimson Hawks (0-1).
In doubles play, Elvira Esteo and Cecilia Rosas earned a 6-4 win at No. 1, Tamara Teufl and Eliska Masarikova earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 and Jessica Stanmore and Lucia Zagar won their match, 6-2.
In singles, Teufl picked up a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 over Joanna Stralka. At No. 2, Rosas defeated Karolin Kirchtag, 6-3, 6-1. Zagar earned an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win over Idoia Huerta at No. 3. At No. 4, Esteo beat Katy Graydon, 6-1, 6-0. Masarikova won her match at No. 5, 6-2, 6-0 against Laura Dunarova and Stanmore won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 against Lydia Vlachou.
The Penguins return to action tomorrow when they make short trip over to face Duquesne. First serve at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center of Pittsburgh is set for 1:30 p.m.
