
Penguins vs. Cleveland State, Host Gannon In Two-Day Stretch

The Youngstown State women's and men's swimming and diving teams are back in action on Friday and Saturday. They travel to take on Cleveland State at the Busbey Natatorium on Friday and come home to host Gannon at the Beeghly Natatorium on Saturday. Friday's meet is set to start at 3 pm, and Saturday's is set at noon.
The Penguins were last in action on October 17-18 when they competed at the Zips Classic. The men's team had a strong performance, winning seven events for YSU. Freshman Aleksa Radenovic set three school records for the Penguins and was named Horizon League Men's Swimmer of the Week. Sophomore diver Cody Thill won both the one- and three-meter diving events.
The women's team also had a solid performance at the Zips Classic. Distance swimmer Jael Dankle placed in both the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 500 free, and divers Tess Weiskopf and Kayla Wrasman placed third and fourth, respectively, in the one-meter dive.
The Youngstown State men's team is ranked 47th in the CSCA Coaches Poll while the Cleveland State men are ranked 45th
The Penguins last competed against Gannon on January 29. YSU defeated the Golden Knights in a 205-85 victory, winning 12 events.
