Penguins Wrap Up First Horizon League Championship Appearance

Rochester, Mich. - The Youngstown State men's swimming and diving program concluded its first trip to the Horizon League Championships on Saturday at the Oakland Aquatic Center.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Penguins set a school record with a time of 3:07.29 to conclude the meet.
Nolan Dennes had a top time of 2:10.20 in the 200-yard backstroke for YSU. In the 100-yard freestyle, Wilson Cannon finished 18th with a time of 46.15 seconds while Ryan Scherer posted a time of 47.89 and Mason Rassega had a time of 48.89 seconds.
Brandon Cheong finished 19th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:11.83 while Zach Tomasic was just behind with a personal-best time of 2:12.30.
The Penguins scored 97 points in the Horizon League Championships debut. Oakland won the event whiel Cleveland State was second and UIC was third.
