Penguins Set to Host Gannon in First Meet of 2020-21

The Youngstown State men's and women's swimming and diving team begins its 2020-21 season on Saturday against Gannon at the Beeghly Natatorium. The meet is set to begin at Noon.
The women's team has three seniors - Aida Jurinovics, Jamie Leming and Casey Prentice. The Penugins will have 10 newcomers competing in a collegiate meet for the first time in their careers. In the one-meter and three-meter diving events, Tess Weiskopf and Kayla Wrasman return while freshman Kiersten Lentz is new to the squad.
The men's team has more than doubled its roster from last season. The squad has 23 members of the squad, including 12 freshmen and senior transfer Ben Gingher. Record-setting performers returning from last year include Brandon Choeng, Wilson Cannon and Ryan Scherer. Choeng holds the record in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke, Scherer set the mark in the 200 IM and Cannon the record in the 200 butterfly. Freshman Jasper Liekens has threatened the school mark during intrasquad events in the 400 IM.
