Tipoff Tidbits
• This is the 46th meeting between Youngstown State and Milwaukee in a series that dates back to 1973-74. Milwaukee owns a 31-14 advantage in the all-time series and a 14-9 mark at Beeghly Center. The Penguins swept the season series last year, including a 72-71 victory on Garrett Covington's buzzer-beating 3-pointer at Beeghly Center.
• Youngstown State is currently 8-0 in games played at Beeghly Center, which marks the program's best start since 1979-80 and the best start in YSU's Division I era (1981-82). The last time the Penguins won their first nine games at Beeghly Center was 1974-75. Since Feb. 7, 2019, Youngstown State is 12-1 in games played at Beeghly Center.
• As of Jan. 22, Youngstown State ranked ninth nationally with 792 total rebounds and 12th nationally with 13.7 offensive rebounds per game, and 43rd nationally with 39.6 total rebounds per game. Junior Naz Bohannon ranks 12th in the nation with 3.85 offensive rebounds per game, 37th with 175 total rebounds and 71st with 8.8 rebounds per game. Bohannon has eight double-digit rebound performances this season and 24 for his career.
• The Penguins are coming off a hard-fought 79-72 loss at Wright State on Jan. 18. Senior Donel Cathcart III scored a season-high 21 points to lead the Penguins. Sophomore Darius Quisenberry scored 19 points with six assists while junior Naz Bohannon had 17 points with eight rebounds.
• Youngstown State's last win was a 69-67 win over Detroit Mercy on Jan. 11 at Beeghly Center. Junior Naz Bohannon hit the game-winning jumper with 22.8 seconds left. Darius Quisenberry scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Penguins.
• The Penguins also defeated Oakland, 61-60, in dramatic fashion on Jan. 9. Darius Quisenberry made a layup with 1.7 seconds left to lift YSU to the one-point victory.
• Michael Akuchie led the Penguins with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds while Quisenberry had 15 points, including 13 in the second half.
• Youngstown State dropped its first league game with a 82-74 loss at Cleveland State on Jan. 4. Naz Bohannon posted his third straight double-double with a career-high 21 points and 13 rebounds. Jelani Simmons also scored a career-high with 19 points with five 3-pointers.
• Bohannon is also third in the Horizon League with 8.8 rebounds per game. Bohannon is averaging 12.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in league play.
• After seven Horizon League games, junior Michael Akuchie is averaging 10 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and shooting 52 percent from 3-point range.
• Youngstown State also defeated UIC, 70-64, on Dec. 30. It marked the first time in program history the Penguins opened conference play with two road victories. Sophomore Darius Quisenberry led the Penguins with 20 points - his fifth 20-point game of the year - and Naz Bohannon posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Michael Akuchie also reach double figures with 10 points.
• Youngstown State opened Horizon League play with an 83-73 win over Horizon League foe IUPUI on Dec. 28. Sophomore Darius Quisenberry led four Penguins scoring in double figures with 23 points and six assists. Junior Naz Bohannon posted his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds, sophomore Jelani Simmons scored 12 points and junior Michael Akuchie added 11 points.
• In the non-league finale, the Penguins dropped a hard-fought 75-64 loss to No. 25 West Virginia on Dec. 21. Sophomore Darius Quisenberry scored a game-high 22 points while junior Garrett Covington added 11 points and junior Naz Bohannon had a game-high 13 rebounds.
• In their last non-league home game, the Penguins defeated Binghamton, 73-55, on Dec. 18. Junior Naz Bohannon tied a career high with 19 points. Bohannon also became the 15th player in school history to record at least 600 career rebounds.
• In their 65-50 win over Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 15., the Penguins were led by junior Naz Bohannon with 14 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Darius Quisenberry had 12 points.

Milwaukee enters the game with an overall record of 9-10 and is tied for third in the Horizon League with the Penguins and Green Bay at 4-3. Darius Roy leads the Panthers, who have won four of their last five games, with 16.2 points per contest. Te'Jon Lucas is scoring 15.6 points per game and Josh Thomas is averaging 10.1 points per game.

Penguins at Home
Youngstown State is currently 8-0 at Beeghly Center this season and is averaging 76.1 points per contest, shooting 45.3 percent from the field, and averaging 15.4 assists per game at home. The last time Youngstown State started 8-0 at Beeghly Center was in 1979-80.
Bohannon Three Straight
With his double-double against Cleveland State on Jan. 4, junior Naz Bohannon recorded his third straight game with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds. He tallied a career-scoring high 21 points with 13 rebounds. He became the first player since Jorden Kaufman at the end of 2016-17 to register three consecutive double-doubles. He is also just the fourth player in YSU's Horizon League history to post three straight double-doubles.

Youngstown State has seen a tremendous amount of success this season when it scores at least 32 points in the paint. The Penguins have reached that total 10 times this season and own a record of 8-2.
