Opening Tip
• The Youngstown State men's basketball team plays its final non-league home game when it hosts Binghamton, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Beeghly Center.
• Tipoff is slated for 7:45 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN, ESPN+, and WatchESPN App.
• This game is also the second half of a women's and men's basketball doubleheader.
The Coaches
• Jerrod Calhoun is in his third year at Youngstown State and his eighth season overall as a head coach. The 13th head coach in program history, Calhoun owns a career mark of 150-87 overall and is 26-49 at Youngstown State. The Cleveland, Ohio, native came to YSU after spending five years at Fairmont State, where he led the Fighting Falcons to the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship game and a 34-3 overall record. Calhoun was named the 2017 Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year and the Mountain East Conference Men's Sports Coach of the Year.
Tommy Dempsey is in his eighth season as head coach at Binghamton and his 18th season overall as a head coach. He owns an overall record of 269-283 and a 62-166 mark at Binghamton.

• This is the second meeting between Youngstown State and Binghamton.
• Last season, the Penguins defeated the Bearcats, 58-48, in Binghamton, N.Y.
• Youngstown State leads the Horizon League in rebounding (40.4 rpg) and offensive rebounds (13.9 orpg).
• The Penguins are coming off a 65-50 win over Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 15. Junior Naz Bohannon led the Penguins with 14 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Darius Quisenberry had 12 points.

• Sophomore Darius Quisenberry scored a game-high 23 points and led four other players reaching double figures.
• Junior Michael Akuchie posted 13 points, sophomore Jelani Simmons scored 12 and juniors Garrett Covington and Jamir Thomas each had 10 points.
• The Penguins posted their first road win of the season after a 66-61 victory at USC-Upstate on Nov. 23.
• Sophomore Darius Quisenberry led three players scoring in double figures with 22 points.
• Quisenberry tied a school record with 15 made free throws and set the school mark for free-throw attempts with 20.
• Sophomore Jelani Simmons had 12 points and junior Michael Akuchie recorded the first doubled-double of his career with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
• Junior Naz Bohannon posted his first double-double of the season and the eighth of his career with a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 66-60 win over NC Central on Nov. 19.
• Sophomore Darius Quisenberry scored 17 points while sophomore Geoff Hamperian poured in a career-high 14 points.
About Binghamton
Binghamton enters the game with an overall record of 5-5 and is coming off an 84-79 overtime win over Boston on Dec. 7. Leading the Bearcats is Sam Sessions with 20.2 points per game while Brenton Mills is averaing 12.0 points per contest. George Tinsley is nearly averaging a double-double with 11.9 points and nine rebounds per game.

Junior Naz Bohannon has picked up right where he left off on the glass. Bohannon is averaging 8.4 rebounds per game after 11games. In his career, Bohannon has 593 rebounds for a career average of 8.2 rebounds per game. Bohannon now ranks second in rebounds per game and ninth in total rebounds in Youngstown State's Division I history. Bohannon also ranks 16th all-time in rebounding and needs just seven more to become the 15th player in school history to record 600 career rebounds.
