Women Pick Up Second Straight Win Beating Niagara

Niagara University, N.Y. - The Youngstown State women's swimming and diving team defeated Niagara 154-89 on Saturday afternoon at the Oxy Aquatic Center.
The Penguins collected 10 individual event wins against the Purple Eagles. YSU also had six second-place finishes in the meet.
Leading the way was Aida Jurinovics who won three races. Jurinovics won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:15.17, the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.01 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.68.
Kayla Wrasman had a strong performance taking both diving events. Wrasman won the three-meter dive with a score of 242.47 and the one-meter dive with a scored of 238.35.
Freshman Aubrey Whitaker won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.96 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.94 seconds.
Josie Preski won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:52.54, Casey Prentice won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.34 seconds and Tiphaine Saint-Gilles won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.29.
YSU capped off the meet with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Preski, Taci Miller, Hannah Olger and Whitaker posted a time of 3:45.65.
The Penguins are next in action on Nov. 22-24 at the Magnus Cup Invitational hosted by Cleveland State.
