
Penguins Drop Contest at Buffalo

Williamsville, N.Y. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Buffalo on Friday afternoon. The Penguins won the doubles point, but lost the match. Three singles matches went three sets in the contest.
In doubles play, Annina Brendel and Ana Stroe won 7-6 at No. 1 while Dominika Lackova and Julianna Heino were victorious at No. 3 by a 6-2 score.
In singles play, Lackova lost a tough 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 decision to Tanja Stojanovska at No. 1. Sofia Macias lost a 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 contest to Mercedes Losada Rubio at No. 3. At No. 6, Heino lost 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 to Christine Haraldson.
The Penguins are next in action on March 11 when they face South Dakota in Orlando, Fla.
