Game Preview
• The Youngstown State men's basketball team returns home to host Oakland, Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Beeghly Center.

About Oakland
• Oakland enters the game on a hot streak winning its last five games.
• The Golden Grizzlies own an overall record of 10-12 and a 5-2 mark in the Horizon League.
• Leading Oakland is sophomore guard Kahlil Felder with 16.8 points per game and a league-best 7.5 assists per game.
• Senior Corey Petros leads the league with eight rebounds per game and is averaging 13.4 points per game.

• This is the 13th meeting between the Penguins and Golden Grizzlies in a series that dates back to 1999.

• With 917 career points, junior Bobby Hain needs just 83 more to become the 36th YSU player to score 1,000 points in a career.
• Hain would become the seventh player to accomplish the feat under Head Coach Jerry Slocum.
• The last YSU junior to reach 1,000 points was Kendrick Perry in the 2012-13 season.
Penguins Among Scoring Leaders
• Youngstown State has three of the top 17 scorers in the Horizon League.
• Sophomore Marcus Keene ranks sixth in the Horizon League with 16.2 points per game.
• Junior Bobby Hain is seventh with 14.9 points per game and senior Shawn Amiker is 17th with 10.8 points per game.

• Youngstown State has a great chance of winning when it makes 45 percent of its field-goal attempts.

Keene 4th on Single-Season 3-PT List
• Sophomore Marcus Keene has moved into fourth place on the YSU single-season 3-pointers made chart.
• Keene has made 72 3-pointers this season and needs just 19 more to move into a tie for thirdplace on the list.
• He is just the third player in school history to make at least 70 3-pointers in one season.
Morse Code
• Freshman Cameron Morse has been providing an offensive spark off the bench for the Penguins as of late.
• Morse, who is shooting 51.3 percent from field this year, is averaging 8.5 points per game over the last six contests.
• He has scored in double figures three times, and is shooting 51.9 percent (14-of-27) from the field and 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from 3-point range in during that span.
Uniquely Hain
• Junior Bobby Hain is in a class by himself.
• Hain is the only player in the Horizon League averaging at least 14.5 points (14.9 ppg), 7.5 rebounds (7.5 rpg) and shooting at least 50 percent from the field (.523).
• He is third in the league in rebounding, ranks third in field-goal percentage and is seventh in scoring.
Cole Nearing 400 Assists
• Senior DJ Cole has 387 career assists and needs 17 more to become the fifth player in school history to reach 400 assists.
• He currently ranks sixth on the all-time list and needs six more to move into fifth place.
• With two assists against Wright State on Jan. 8, Cole posted 100 assists this season.
• It marked the third straight year Cole has been credited with at least 100 assists.
• The last player to post 100 assists in three straight seasons was Kendrick Perry, who accomplished the feat four times from 2010-14.
• Cole also leads the Horizon League with a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
