• The Youngstown State men's basketball team final game in the month of January when it visits Detroit, Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Calihan Hall.

• Detroit enters the game with a 10-12 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the Horizon League.
• The Titans are coming off a 64-53 home loss to Wright State on Jan. 26.
• Leading Detroit is Juwan Howard, Jr., with 17.6 points per game, which ranks third in the Horizon League.
• Paris Bass is also averaging in double figures with 11.8 points per game.

• This is the 37th meeting between the Penguins and Titans in a series that dates back to 1953.
• The Titans own a 27-9 advantage in the all-time series and have won 10 of the last 12 contests.

Penguins Among Scoring Leaders
• Youngstown State has three of the top 18 scorers in the Horizon League.
• Sophomore Marcus Keene ranks seventh in the Horizon League with 15.8 points per game.
• Junior Bobby Hain is eighth with 15 points per game and senior Shawn Amiker is 18th with 10.7 points per game.

• Youngstown State has a great chance of winning when it make 45 percent of its field-goal attempts.

Keene 5th on Single-Season 3-PT List
• Sophomore Marcus Keene has moved into fifth place on the YSU single-season 3-pointers made chart.
• Keene has made 66 3-pointers this season and needs just three more to move into fourth place on the list.
• He is just the ninth player in school history to make at least 60 3-pointers in one season.
Morse Code
• Freshman Cameron Morse has been providing an offensive spark off the bench for the Penguins as of late.
• Morse, who is shooting 50 percent from 3-point range this year, is averaging 8.8 points per game over the last five contests.
• He has scored in double figures three times, and is shooting 59 percent (13-of-22) from the field and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from 3-point range in during that span.
Uniquely Hain
• Junior Bobby Hain is in a class by himself.
• Hain is the only player in the Horizon League averaging at least 15 points (15 ppg), 7.5 rebounds (7.6 rpg) and shooting about 50 percent from the field (.524).
• He is second in the league lead in rebounding, ranks fourth in field-goal percentage and is eighth in scoring.
Cole Nearing 400 Assists
• Senior DJ Cole has 383 career assists and needs 17 more to become the fifth player in school history to reach 400 assists.
• He currently ranks sixth on the all-time list and needs 10 more to move into fifth place.
• With two assists against Wright State on Jan. 8, senior DJ Cole posted 100 assists this season.
• It marked the third straight year Cole has been credited with at least 100 assists.
• The last player to post 100 assists in three straight seasons was Kendrick Perry, who accomplished the feat four times from 2010-14.
• Cole also leads the Horizon League with a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
