Game Preview
• The Youngstown State men's basketball team returns home for the first of three straight home games when it hosts Cleveland State, Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Beeghly Center.

About Cleveland State
• Cleveland State enters the game with an overall record of 10-9 and a 4-1 mark in the Horizon League.
• The Vikings have won four of their last five games and are coming off a 55-50 win at Wright State on Jan. 14.
• Leading the Vikings is junior Trey Lewis with 15.8 points per game. He is also shooting 42.2 percent from 3-poiint range.
• Junior Anton Grady is averaging 12.6 points and a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game.

The Cleveland State Series
• This is the 82nd meeting between Youngstown State and Cleveland State in a series that dates back to 1930.
• The Vikings own a slim 42-39 advantage in the all-time series and the teams have each won three of the last six contests.
• In the last meeting, the Vikings won, 70-69, in overtime at Goodman Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
• The Penguins defeated the Vikings, 67-66, in the last game at the Beeghly Center last year.

Hain's 1,000-Point Countdown
• With 862 career points, junior Bobby Hain needs just 138 more to become the 36th YSU player to score 1,000 points in a career.
• Hain would become the seventh player to accomplish the feat under Head Coach Jerry Slocum.
• The last YSU junior to reach 1,000 points was Kendrick Perry in the 2012-13 season.
Penguins Among Scoring Leaders
• Youngstown State has three of the top 16 scorers in the Horizon League.
• Sophomore Marcus Keene ranks fifth in the Horizon League with 16.1 points per game.
• Junior Bobby Hain is eighth with 15.1 points per game and senior Shawn Amiker is 16th with 11 points per game.
45 and Above
• Youngstown State has a great chance of winning when it make 45 percent of its field-goal attempts.
• The Penguins are 8-2 when they shooting at least 45 percent from the field.
Uniquely Hain
• Junior Bobby Hain is in a class by himself.
• Hain is the only player in the Horizon League averaging at least 15 points (15.1 ppg), 7.5 rebounds (7.9 rpg) and shooting about 50 percent from the field (.52).
• He is second in the league in rebounding, ranks fifth in field-goal percentage and is eighth in scoring.
Cole Reaches Century Mark
• With two assists against Wright State on Jan. 8, senior DJ Cole posted 100 assists this season.
• It marked the third straight year Cole has been credited with at least 100 assists.
• The last player to post 100 assists in three straight seasons was Kendrick Perry, who accomplished the feat four times from 2010-14.
• He has 106 assists this season and has 374 for his career.
Vaughn Hitting Stride
• Sophomore Osandai Vaughn has been hitting his stride offensively lately.
• Vaughn scored 14 points in the loss at Milwaukee on Jan. 14, and he scored 10 points against Green Bay on Jan. 11 and Valparaiso on Jan. 4.
• He had a career scoring high with 18 points against UIC on Jan. 2.
• Over the last six games, Vaughn has scored 68 points.
• In his previous 11 games played, Vaughn scored a total of 15 points.
• Vaughn averaged 11.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game over the six games.
Stew's Crew
• Junior Shaun Stewart has been feeling more comfortable from the 3-point line.
• Over the last nine games, Stewart has made 14-of-33 or 42.4 percent of his 3-point attempts.
• He had made just 11 of his first 47 over the first 11 games of the season.
