Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Youngstown State women's golf team posted its best score of the three-round Bucknell Invitational which concluded on Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Penguins finished fifth out of 14 teams with a three-round total of 951 that featured a 309 today.
The Penguins posted a three-round score of 951 at the 54-hole tournament. YSU had rounds of 318 and 324 on Saturday before carding a 309 on Sunday. Winning the event was Seton Hall with a three-round total of 899 while Rutgers finished second with a 905. William and Mary placed third while Columbia finished fourth.
Leading the way for the Penguins was Aislynn Merling who placed 11th. Merling had a three-round score of 231 following rounds of 77, 82 and 72. Emily Dixon tied for 18th place with a 235 that featured scores of 78, 82 and 75.
Allison Mitzel was 25th with a 239 (81, 78 and 80), Courtney Shutt was 43rd with a 248 (82, 84 and 82) while Mia Barchetti placed 47th with a 250 (83, 82 and 85). Emily Rohanna finished 29th with a 242 (79, 82 and 81) playing as an individual.
YSU returns to action on Sept. 21-22 at the Clarion Invitational.
