Penguins Win Three Singles Matches in Strong Effort at San Jose State

San Jose, Calif. - Margarita Sadovnikova, Marta Burak and Dominika Lackova all won singles matches as the Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to San Jose State on Tuesday afternoon.
Sadovinkova won a thriller at No. 1 beating Marie Klocker 11-9 in a third set tiebreaker after each won a tiebreaker earlier in the match. At No. 2, Burak cruised to a 6-4, 6-0 win over Leon Chao while Lavkova won 6-4 and 7-5 over Julianna Bacelar.
The Spartans won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the point.
YSU concludes it's trip to California with a match at UC Davis on Wednesday.
