The Youngstown State men's basketball team returns to the Beeghly Center Wednesday, Dec. 17, against Kennesaw State to start a three-game homestand. Tipoff is set for 7:05 p.m. ET and can be heard on 570 AM WKBN and viewed on ESPN3.com.

• Kennesaw State is 3-7 entering the game and has lost its last three games.

• Slocum ranks 37th all-time with 695 career victories eighth among active Division I coaches in all-time wins.
• He is just five wins away from 700 for his career.
• Slocum is also just one of two NCAA Division I head coaches that are in their 40th year as a head coach. The other is Duke's Mike Krzyzewski.

• As of Dec. 15, Youngstown State Head Coach Jerry Slocum ranks third among active NCAA Division I coaches in games coached.
• Slocum, who has coached in 1,193 career games, is behind Duke's Mike Krzyzewski with 1,297 and Syracuse's Jim Boeheim with 1,278.
• Slocum will coach his 1,200th career game against Green Bay on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Keene Leads Horizon League, 3rd Nationally
• With his 41 3-pointers made, sophomore Marcus Keene leads the Horizon League in that category and ranks third nationally
• He also ranks 14th nationally and leads the Horizon League with 3.5 3-pointers made per game.
• Keene also leads the Horizon League in scoring at 18.8 points per game.
No Cole In DJ's Stocking
• Senior DJ Cole has been one of the most generous point guards in the NCAA and the Horizon League.
• Cole ranks second in the Horizon League with 5.8 assists per game, and ranks seventh nationally with 69 total assists.
• He also ranks sixth all-time at YSU with 337 career assists.
• This season, Cole has dished out at least five assists in a game on seven different occasions.
Hain Named Horizon League POW
• Junior Bobby Hain was named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Dec. 8.
• Hain led the Penguins to a 3-0 week and averaged 18.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game while shooting 60.6 percent from the field.
• Hain scored a career-high 24 points with a Horizon League-best 14 rebounds in the win at Robert Morris on Dec. 2.
• He followed that up with a 16-point, 12-rebound performance at South Dakota in an 87-79 win.
• He is tied for the league lead with four double-doubles this season.
Amiker Doubling Up
• Senior Shawn Amiker is off to great start for the Penguins this season.
• Amiker is averaging 13.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
• He also has three double-doubles and ranks fourth in the Horizon League in rebounding.
• Over the last eight games, Amiker is averaging 13.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and shooting 54 percent (47-of-87) from the field.
