McLean, Men Place Third at Horizon League Championships

Kenosha, Wis. - Youngstown State junior Austin McLean placed third at the Horizon League Cross Country as did the Penguins on Saturday at the Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course.
McLean led the way with a time of 24:52 as the Guins had five runners finish in the top 20. Nick Gliha posted a time of 25:08 and was 10th, freshman Ryan Sullivan was 15th with a time of 25:34, Ethan Wilson was 18th with a time of 25:52 and freshman Alan Burns was right behind him at 25:53.
Detroit claimed its second straight title with 57 points, Milwaukee was right behind at 59 and Youngstown State was third with 66.
Other finishers for YSU included John Hutnyan who was 21st with a time of 25:54 and Jon Richmond who was 24th at 25:57. The Guins were the only squad to have all seven runners place in the top 25.
McLean earned first-team honors while Gliha was a second-team all-league pick.
