The Youngstown State men's basketball team returns home to host Ohio Valley Conference member Austin Peay in a 2011-12 BracketBuster return game, Saturday Nov. 30.
• Tipoff is set for 7:05 p.m. EST at the Beeghly Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
• The game can be heard on 570 WKBN-AM and iHeartRadio.
Last Time Out
• The Penguins fought back from a 12-point halftime deficit to tie the game in the second half, but dropped a hard-fought contest to Kent State, 83-79, on Nov. 27.
• Senior Kamren Belin scored a career-high 32 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including making four 3-pointers and 14-of-15 free-throw attempts.
• Senior Kendrick Perry scored 15 points and dished out five assists.
• Sophomore Ryan Weber added 10 points.
The Austin Peay Series
• This is the 16th meeting between Youngstown State and Austin Peay in a series that dates back to 1981.
• The Penguins own a slim 8-7 lead in the all-time series, but Austin Peay has won the last five contests.

• Belin made four 3-pointers, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded two blocks and three steals.
Two for 30
• Kamren Belin's 32 points against Kent State marks the first time since 2006-07 that two players scored at least 30 points in a game in the same season.
• Fellow senior Kerry Perry scored 31 points in against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 10.
• Quin Humphrey and Keston Roberts each scored more than 30 points in game in 2006-07.
Penguins Set Rebounding Mark
• YSU set a single-game rebounding record with 66 boards against Westminster on Nov. 23.
• It broke the record of 64 set in 1987.
• The last time the Penguins recorded at least 60 rebounds was against Wilberforce on Jan. 11, 2011.

• Senior Kendrick Perry is in the top four in four key Horizon League statistical categories
• He leads the league in steals (2.9 spg), second in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.8), ranks second in assists (4.8 apg) and fifth in scoring (17.0 ppg).
Slocum In Elite Company
• Youngstown State Head Coach Jerry Slocum ranks among the best in the history of college basketball in terms of overall wins.
• Slocum ranks 35th all-time with 679 career victories and surpassed Denny Crum, who had 675 career victories.
• He also ranks sixth among active Division I coaches in all-time wins.

• Youngstown State has been taking advantage of its time at the free-throw line.
• The Penguins rank third in the Horizon League with a .772 free-throw percentage.
• Five players are shooting .833-or-better from the line this season.
• That group includes freshman Marcus Keene (.923), senior Kamren Belin (.886) junior DJ Cole (.867), , sophomore Bobby Hain (.846) and senior Kendrick Perry (.833).

• Junior guard DJ Cole has been sure handed when handling the rock.
• Cole, who is averaging 3.9 assists per game, ranks third in the league with a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• He also ranks fourth in the league in assists per game.
Hain On the Boards
• Sophomore Bobby Hain is proving he is one of the top rebounders in the Horizon League.
• Hain, who already has two double-doubles this year, ranks tied for second in the league with 7.9 rebounds per game.
Penguins Top Scoring Horizon League Team
• At 83.0 points per game, Youngstown State leads the league in scoring offense.
• The Penguins also rank fourth in field-goal percentage (.447).
• YSU is also the league leader with 16.9 assists per game.
KP Nets Steals Mark
• Kendrick Perry is Youngstown State's all-time steals leader with 193.
• Perry broke the record of 182 set by Bruce Alexander between 1979-83.
Century Mark
• YSU's 108-57 win over Westminster on Nov. 23, marked the first time since 1990-91 that the Penguins have scored more than 100 points in a game twice in the same season.
• That year, the Penguins reached the century mark on six occasions.
• With the 104-58 win over Warren Wilson College on Nov. 14, YSU reached the 100-point mark for the first time since 2003.
• The last time the Penguins scored at least 100 points was a 106-69 win over Slippery Rock on Dec. 3, 2003.
KP Notches 22nd 20-Point Game
• With a game-high 31 points against Eastern Kentucky, senior Kendrick Perry notched his 22nd game with at least 20 points.
• It also marked the fourth 30-point effort of his career.
• Last season, Perry scored more than 20 points 10 times.
• He scored at least 20 points as a sophomore nine times and once as a freshman in 2010-11.
Perry Now 12th
• With 136 points this season, senior Kendrick Perry now ranks 12th all-time on the YSU scoring list with 1,445 points.
• Perry just surpassed Tilman Bevely for 12th place on the list.
• He needs 36 more points to move into sole possession of 11th place on the all-time scoring list.
Perry Moving Up Assists, 3's, FT Charts
• Not only is senior Kendrick Perry YSU's all-time steals leader and climbing the all-time scoring list, he is also moving up the career assists, career 3-pointers made, and free-throws made charts.
• Perry ranks for fourth all-time with 403 career assists, fourth with 344 made free throws and sixth with 151 career 3-pointers made.
• Perry should also become the school's all-time leader in minutes played.
• Her currently ranks fourth with 3,263 minutes, and the school record is 3,689 held by Quin Humphrey from 2003-07.
Penguins Picked Fifth; Get First-Place Vote
• Youngstown State was picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League's Preseason Poll of head coaches, SIDs and selected media.
• The Penguins earned 219 points and received a first-place vote for the first time.
Perry Named Preseason POY
• Senior Kendrick Perry was named the Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year after averaging 17.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game last season.
• Perry is the only returning player in the Horizon League that ranked in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals per game and free-throw percentage.
• Perry tied for the league lead with 1.9 steals per game, and ranked second in scoring, fifth with a .845 free-throw percentage, sixth with 4.1 assists per game and 10th with 5.5 rebounds per game.
Belin Named Preseason Second-Team
• Senior Kamren Belin was voted to the Preseason All-Horizon League Second-Team. Last season, Belin averaged 11.1 points per game, but posted a 12.3 points per game scoring average in league play. His .407 3-point percentage ranked fifth in the league.
