
Penguins Host Final Dual of Season Against Bowling Green

The Youngstown State swimming and diving team plays host to its final dual meet of the season competing against Bowling Green on Saturday at the Beeghly Natatorium. The meet is senior day for five Penguins who will be honored in a pre-meet ceremony.
Saturday's meet is scheduled to begin at Noon and will be carried live in HD on the Horizon League Network.
The meet is the final home dual for seniors Jacqueline Smith, Casey Hill, Liseli Baich, Samantha Roberts and Soyriah Davis.
The relays for the meet are the 400-yard medley and the 400 freestyle. The Penguins will have the only three divers to compete in both events since the Falcons will not have any competitors.
Sophomore Ashley Dow, freshman diver Bec Stafford and Roberts have been on a role lately.
Stafford has won the five of her last six events, including three consecutive three-meter diving competitions. Dow has won all six of her backstroke - three 100 and three 200 - events in the past three meets. Roberts has won her last three 200-yard breaststroke events and has four wins in January.
The YSU divers will participate in the YSU Diving Invitational on Sunday at 11 a.m. The Penguins return to action as team with their final dual of the year on Feb. 8 at Ohio.
