• The Youngstown State men's basketball team begins a three-game Horizon League homestand when it hosts Wright State, Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Beeghly Center.
• Tipoff is set for 7:05 p.m. EDT and the game can be heard on 570 WKBN-AM and iHeartRadio.

• Junior Kamren Belin scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Penguins.
• Senior Damian Eargle scored 17 points with seven rebounds and three blocks.

The Wright State Series
• This is the 45th meeting between Youngstown State and Wright State in a series that dates back to 1977.
• The Raiders lead the all-time series, 36-8, and have won nine of the last 10 games.
• The Penguins snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Raiders with a 61-54 win at the Beeghly Center on Feb. 23, 2012.
• Youngstown State's previous win was a 72-57 win over Feb. 23, 2007, at the Beeghly Center.
Scouting Wright State
• Wright State has a 14-5 overall record and is currently tied for the Horizon League lead with a 5-1 record.
• The Raiders are coming off a 64-62 win at Detroit on Jan. 21.
• Leading the Raiders is junior Cole Darling with 11.4 points per game.
• Sophomore Reggie Arceneaux is averaging 11 points and 3.1 assists per game.
• Arceneaux is posting 15.6 points per contest against in Horizon League games.

DJ - Put the Needle on the Record
• Over the last five games, sophomore guard DJ Cole is averaging 9.2 points per game.
• Cole is also shooting 48 percent from the field, 56 percent from 3-point range and 76 percent from the free-throw line during that time.
• In his first career start at Milwaukee on Jan. 19, Cole scored seven points and dished out five assists.
• Cole turned in a career performance against Detroit on Jan. 10.
• Cole scored a career-high 16 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field.
• He also made a career-best eight free throws.
KP Moving Up
• With six points against Milwaukee on Jan. 19, junior Kendrick Perry is in 24th place on the YSU all-time scoring list.
• He needs two for 23rd and nine more to move into 22nd on the list.
• Perry needs 27 more to become the 22nd player in school history to score 1,100 points in a career.
Belin Hits Career High
• Junior Kamren Belin scored a career-high 21 points to lead the Penguins to a 75-72 win over Milwaukee on Jan. 19.
• Belin connected on 8-of-15 from the field, including two 3-pointers, and made three free throws.
• It was the seventh time Belin reached double figures this season and the third time in the last five games.
• He is averaging 10.2 points per game against Horizon League opponents.
Allen Nearing 3's Mark
• With four 3-pointers against Milwaukee, senior Blake Allen became is within 10 of tying the YSU career 3-point record.
• Allen has made 188 career 3's and needs 11 more to break the record of 198.
• The record of 198 was set by Craig Haese from 1997-2001.
• Allen ranks second in the Horizon League with 46 3-pointers made and 2.7 3-pointers made per game.
To Catch a Thief
• With a season-high six steals, junior Kendrick Perry moved into the Horizon League lead with 1.8 steals per game.
• Perry also has a steal in seven straight games, has a total of 20 and an average a 2.9 during that span.
• Perry also ranks third in YSU history with 146 career steals.
• Last season, he set the school's single-game steals record with seven against Loyola on Feb. 5, 2012.
• Perry also set the YSU single-season mark with 74 swipes last year.
Perry Among League Leaders
• Junior Kendrick Perry is having an all-league caliber season.
• Perry ranks third in the Horizon League in scoring with 15.7 points per game.
• He also fourth with 4.3 assists per game and ranks fifth with a .856 free-throw percentage.
• Perry is third in the Horizon League with 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Eargle Defensive Production
• Senior Damian Eargle is playing like a defensive player-of-the-year candidate.
• Eargle ranks sixth nationally and leads the Horizon League with 3.3 blocks per game.
• The Youngstown, Ohio, native is second in the league with 6.8 rebounds per game.
• He is also third with 5.1 defensive rebounds per game.
• Against Bowling Green on Dec. 1, Eargle grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, including 14 defensive boards.
Takin' Care of Business
• The YSU trio of guards of Blake Allen, DJ Cole and Kendrick Perry take care of the ball well.
• Combined, the three have dished out 180 assists compared to just 82 turnovers.
• That works out to an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.2.
• Allen leads the league at 3.4, Perry is third at 2.1 and Cole is sixth at 1.6.
