Penguins Drop Three Tough Singles Matches in Duquesne Defeat

The Youngstown State women's tennis team lost to Duquesne on Tuesday afternoon at the YSU Tennis Courts. Three out of the six singles matches went three sets.
Freshman Marta Burak was defeated by Vanessa Steiner 2-6, 6-4, 10-8. Burak's match was the closet match of the day.
In the No. 2 singles match, senior Lauren Hankle also lost in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 to Megan O'Sullivan. The last Penguin to take their match to three sets was sophomore Carolyn Jesko who fell to Judy Li 0-6, 6-4, 10-6.
At No. 1 doubles, Burak and Jesko were victorious against O'Sullivan and Li 8-4.
The Penguins travel to Cleveland State to take on the Vikings on Saturday at 4 p.m.
