Penguins Set to Host Niagara, Butler This Weekend

The Youngstown State swimming and diving program will host their first home meet of the season against Niagara University on Friday at Beeghly Natatorium. The dual meet is set to start at 5 p.m. Admission will be free and live video of the event will be available as well. Click Here to Watch Friday's meet.
This meet will be dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness. Donations will be collected and t-shirts will be sold to those interested in supporting the cause. The Penguins will wear pink caps during the meet and all those who attend are encouraged to wear pink as well.
Niagara University is 1-1 on the season. The Purple Eagles defeated Gannon, 128-109, and lost to Cleveland State, 195-48.
During 2011-2012 season, the Penguins defeated Niagara 199-101. YSU won 14 of the 16 events with five Penguins winning at least twice. The Penguins have won the last two dual meets with the Purple Eagles.
After the meet, there will be a YSU volleyball match in Beeghly against Valparasio at 7 p.m. This swim meet will be the first dual match of the weekend. On Sunday, the Penguins will also play host to Butler at noon.
