Swimming & Diving Returns to Action With Busy Weekend

The Youngstown State swimming and diving team will be in action on Saturday at Saint Francis (Pa.) before returning home to play host to Ohio on Sunday at the Beeghly Natatorium.
The dual against the Red Flash at the Stokes Center Natatorium is set to begin at 1 p.m. YSU will play host to the Bobcats at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The meet will be carried on the Horizon League Network. Fans can click here to watch live.
YSU recently spent 10 days in Florida on its annual training trip. The swimmers praticed at Nova Southeastern's outdoor NSU Aquatic Center near Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Penguins took time out from their practice schedule to participate in a 5K race for an organization called FLIPANY. FLIPANY encourages nutritious lifestyles for low-income families in Florida.
Once returning home, YSU will be busy for the next month preparing for the Horizon League Championships which are set for Feb. 22-25 in Milwaukee.
After two meets this weekend, Youngstown State has a dual at Wright State on Jan. 21 and will compete in the Butler Invitational on Jan. 22. The Penguins visit Bowling Green on Jan. 27 before playing host to UIC on Feb. 3 in the final home meet of the season. The YSU Diving Invitational is set for Sunday, Feb. 5.
