Penguins Drop Home Dual to UIC, 7-0 on Saturday Night

Boardman -- The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to UIC on Friday night at the Boardman Tennis Center. The Penguins are 4-8 overall and 1-2 in the Horizon League while UIC is now 11-3 and 4-0.
The Penguins lost the doubles point then could not get into the win column during singles against UIC. Battling was Karolina Sjokvist who dropped a 6-0, 7-6 decision at No. 4 singles to the Flames' Elisa Simonett.
YSU returns to action on Sunday morning when it plays host to Valparaiso. First serve is set for 8 a.m. at the Boardman Tennis Center.
