Penguins Suffer 6-1 Setback to Cleveland State

Boardman - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 contest to Cleveland State on Friday night at the Boardman Tennis Center. Margarita Sadovnikova earned an impressive win at No. 1 singles for the Penguins.
Sadovnikova had a strong showing in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Catrine Bjeffhus to give the Penguins their lone point of the match. CSU won the final five singles matches in straight sets.
The Penguins (5-12 overall and 2-5 in the Horizon League) dropped all three doubles matches to the Vikings (11-11 and 6-1). At No. 1 Sadovnikova and Karolina Sjokvist lost a hard-fought 8-6 decision.
YSU concludes the regular season on Sunday when it plays host to Detroit.
