Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision at Green Bay

Green Bay, Wis. -- The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Green Bay on Sunday morning at Western Racquet and Fitness. Tariq Ismail won in three sets at No. 1 singles while Rob Emig won at No. 6 singles.
Ismail dropped the first set to UWGB's Erik Finkenbrink before rallying to win 6-3 in the second and 6-4 in the third. Emig won in straight sets beating Henning Jess 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
At No. 3 singles, Max Schmerin lost in three sets to Paul Swanson 4-6, 7-5 amd 10-3 while Felipe Rosa dropped a tough 7-5, 7-5 decision to Craig Cox.
Green Bay swept at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
In doubles play, YSU dropped 8-4, 8-7 and 8-3 decisions to the Phoenix.
The Penguins return to action on Saturday, April 2 when they play host to UIC at the Boardman Tennis Center. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
