Casey Hill Sets 1-Meter Diving Record at Highlanders Invitational

Radford, Va. -- Youngstown State junior Casey Hill broke her own meet record in the one-meter diving event on Thursday afternoon at the Radford Highlanders Invitational. The Penguins are in sixth place out of 10 teams at the event.
Hill posted a score of 254.80 in the one-meter event breaking the mark of 247.85 which she set in 2010. In the six-dive preliminaries she scored a 249.15. Finishing fourth in the finals was sophomore Breanne Horrigan who finished with a score of 202.60.
In swimming action, YSU placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.85 while the Guins were 11th in the 400-yard medley relay clocking a time of 4:04.45.
Individually, Nishani Cicilson placed 12th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.94 seconds, Megan Ciampa came in 13th in the 500-yard freestyle while Kirstin Walker was 14th in the 500 and Laura Paz was 18th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.73.
Day two the three-day invitational is set to start on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.
