Casey Hill Wins 3-Meter in Meet Against Cleveland State/Wright State

The Youngstown State swimming and diving squad competed against Horizon League members Cleveland State and Wright State on Saturday afternoon at the Busby Natatorium. YSU sophomore Casey Hill won the three-meter dive and was second in the one meter.
In the three-meter event, Hill scored a 254.40 to finish in front of Cleveland State's Kacey Cummings who was second with a 238.70. In the one meter, Hill finished behind Cummings with a 261.95. Cummings scored a 271.95 in the event.
Sophomore Samantha Roberts continued to be solid. Roberts placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.69, was third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:08.61 and was fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.17.
Freshman Laura Paz placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:13.40 and senior Cailtin Cook came in third in the event with a time of 2:14.76.
In the 1,000 freestyle, freshman Megan Ciampa placed fourth with a time of 10:55.71 while teammate Brittany Vigar was sixth with a 11:00.53. Ciampa was fifth in the 500 with a time of 5:21.84.
Sophomore Nishani Cicilson was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.88 seconds.
In the team scoring, YSU dropped a 206-94 decision to Cleveland State and a 202-96 contest to Wright State.
The Penguins return to action on Friday when they travel to UIC for a dual meet.
