Men's Basketball Falls to Hot-Shooting Robert Morris, 90-60

Moon Township, Pa. -- Robert Morris made 13 3-pointers, including eight in the first half, and defeated the Youngstown State men's basketball team 90-60 on Saturday evening at the Charles Sewall Center.
The Penguins fall to 4-4 overall while the Colonials improve to 4-5
Senior Vytas Sulskis led the Guins with 12 points while juniors Ashen Ward and Tre Brewer each added 10 points.
The Colonials shot 57.4 percent from the field (31-of-54) and 54.2 percent from 3-point range (13-of-24). RMU had five players score in double figures led by Karon Abraham who finished with a career-best 26 points. Abraham made 8-of-12 3-point shots on the evening.
The Guins jumped out to an 8-5 advantage after a 3-pointer by Sulskis at the 17-minute mark, but Robert Morris responded with a 17-5 run over the next five minutes to take a nine-point lead, 22-13, with 12:39 left.
Sulskis hit another 3-pointer and after the teams traded baskets, the Colonials led by six, 24-18 with 11:15 to go in the half.
The Colonials, however, ballooned its lead to 48-22 following a 24-4 run over the next 11 minutes.
The Guins, who shot just 39.3 percent from the field making 22-of-56 attempts, trailed at halftime, 50-26.
Blake Allen finished with a career-best nine points while freshman, and Pittsburgh native, Nate Perry had a career-best six. It was just the second game of Perry's career and marked the first points of his career. Allen had scored 13 points in the first seven contests of the year.
Youngstown State hosts Malone, Monday, Dec. 13, at 7:05 p.m. at the Beeghly Center.
