
Harbarger Starts Day Three Off With Second-Place Finish in 1,650

Radford, Va. -- The Youngstown State swimming and diving team is off to a solid start for the third and final day of action at the Radford Highlander Invitational. Sophomore Rachel Harbarger finished second in the 1,650 to get the Penguins going strong.
Harbarger swam a time of 18:54.03 in the event to finish second behind Mount St. Mary's Courtney Griffith. YSU freshman Kim Kurtz finished fourth in the event with a time of 19:23.51 and Katie Wolf placed sixth.
Sophomore Sam Roberts was second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time 2:26.97 during the prelims.
Junior Nishani Cicilson qualified in the top final in the 100-yard freestyle with the fifth-best time. Cicilson had a time of 54.22 seconds in the prelims.
In the 200-yard butterfly, senior Caitlin Cook had the third best time at 2:12.44 while freshman Laura Paz was fourth at 2:13.06.
The finals are today at 3 p.m.
