At 6'10" tall, Will Teague might be considered the "first skyscraper" for head coach Dom Rosselli. He was head and shoulders above both his opponents and teammates, and his exploits on the hardwood could only be surpassed by his mild and caring demeanor off the court. His four year stay was a memorable one as he was on honorable mention Little All America his senior season , who in the process earned all defensive honors for his play in the Mid East Small College Regional Tourney. He helped lead the Penguins to a 76-27 overall mark, averaging 9.9 points in his career and almost as many rebounds (9.1) as points per outing. However, it was the intimidation factor he gave the Penguins when they played that is something neither a stat sheet nor final score could measure. He played in 83 contests (he was injured as a sophomore and played in only eight contests) and scored 822 points and was impressive enough on the court that the Washington Capitals of the American Basketball Association signed him to a one year contract in 1970. After a six week stint with the Caps, he played with the Binghamton NY Flyers (less than a month) and then Scranton Apollos (two seasons) of the EBA (eastern basketball league)- a farm league for both the NBA and the rival American Basketball Association. A Youngstown native who played scholastically at nearby East High School, he still ranks fifth in best goal percentage for a game (.875), canning seven of the eight shots he took against Steubenville College on that memorable night of February 14, 1970. Currently an area manager for ATO-Chem (which is based in Philadelphia PA) he is married to the former Carolyn Nooks. They are the proud parents of two children: Lauren Nicole (age 12) and Will Ryan (age 10).
