Youngstown State University

Taylor Blandine joined the YSU Athletic Department on a full-time basis as an Athletic Academic Advisor in March 2021. She serves as the Senior Athletic Academic Advisor/Director of Football Academics for the department.

Blandine had previously served as an academic coach and learning specialist in the department since December 2019. In her previous capacity, she provided coaching and mentoring to student-athletes who were in need of academic assistance by teaching organization, time management and study skills. She also served as a liaison with student support services, developed academic plans, monitored grades, reviewed transcripts and checked eligibility requirements.

Prior to joining the athletic department, Blandine served as a graduate assistant in the counseling department on campus. She also completed an internship in the counseling department at the University of Mount Union.

Blandine graduated with her bachelor's degree in psychology from Youngstown State in 2017, and she served as President of the Chi Sigma Iota counseling honors society and was a member of the Student Conduct Board during her time as an undergraduate student. She went on to earn her master's degree in education with tracks in clinical mental health counseling and student affairs & college counseling from YSU in 2020.
