Nicole Law joined the Youngstown State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as an Athletic Academic Coordinator in December 2024.

Law comes to Youngstown after spending the previous 17 years at Robert Morris University in several roles. Most recently, she served as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at RMU.

She started her time at Robert Morris as an Academic Counselor/Tutorial Coordinator specifically working with the women’s basketball program. She went on to work with all RMU student-athletes as an Athletics Academic Coordinator, Assistant Athletic Director for Academics, Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services and Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

During her time at Robert Morris University, she provided the department’s 450-plus student-athletes with academic support, eligibility and compliance support, registration, study skills, and first-year seminar courses, and she developed the Colonial F.O.C.U.S. (Free Opportunity to Collaborate, Unite, and Succeed) study hall program for student-athletes.

Law supported several athletic teams who received awards from the Northeast Conference, the Atlantic Sun Conference, the Mid-American Conference, Atlantic Hockey America, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Horizon League for Team GPA, Team Honor Roll, Academic All-American, and All-Academic Team. RMU’s women’s basketball team led the country in GPA in 2022-23 with a 3.807.

Law served as a campus liaison to various departments including Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Student Life, Counseling Center, Residence Life, Registrar's Office, and Police department. Law was the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) working with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer in the Office of Diversity Inclusion and Equity.

Law also served as a part-time faculty member teaching English writing, literature, communications skills, document design and instructional media courses at Community College of Allegheny County campus locations, Point Park University, and Robert Morris University.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication: Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh and Master of Science degrees in Communication and Information Systems and in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris.
