Matt Rollins serves as Associate Athletic Director for Facilities at Youngstown State University. He held prevoius roles as assistant athletic director and coordinator of facilities.
Rollins, who joined the department in August 2013, has sport supervision of the softball and men's and women's swimming and diving programs in addition to his role in facilities. He handles scheduling for all of YSU's on-campus athletic facilities, works with sports camps and assists in the development, implementation, administration, supervision, and evaluation of facility operations and programs for the WATTS, Beeghly Center, Beeghly Natatorium, Covelli Sports Complex, Cafaro Sports Complex, Tennis Facility, and any and all other athletic facilities. He oversees daily maintenance and scheduling of the YSU Softball Complex, which opened in the spring of 2014.
Rollins spent five seasons in Minor League Baseball, including three as a full-time staff member for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers before joining the YSU staff.
A native of Toledo, Ohio, Rollins handled Ground and Stadium Operations duties at Eastwood Field, which is also the home of the Youngstown State baseball program. He was in charge of field maintenance during the 2013 Horizon League Baseball tournament.
Before joining the Scrappers' staff, he was a full-time seasonal groundskeeper for the Short-Season Class A, Casper Ghosts, of Casper, Wyo., in 2010.
Rollins is a 2010 graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, in Berea, Ohio, where he earned a degree in Sport Management with minors in Marketing & Coaching. He was also a four-year member of the Yellow Jackets baseball team.
Matt and his wife, Tara, were married in Sept. 2016. They have a son named Logan and a daughter named Loftyn.
