Mason Garrison was named Youngstown State's Director of Football Sports Performance in July 2024. Prior to this position, Garrison served as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach with the football team in 2022 and 2023.

Prior to coming to YSU, Garrison was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Wittenberg University, where he assisted with football and oversaw the sports performance efforts for the men’s and women’s golf, lacrosse, volleyball and swimming and diving teams.

Before that, Garrison was a football sports performance intern at the University of Cincinnati and was a part of the 2020 AAC Championship Team and Peach Bowl Runner-up.

Mason Garrison played football at Cincinnati from 2015-2019 and graduated in 2020.
