Davis’ primary charge is overseeing the gameday production of YSU’s broadcasts of athletic events on ESPN+. With an in-depth background in the technical aspects of television production and operations, his wide-ranging roles include directing, producing, creating graphics, filming press conferences, purchasing equipment, and overseeing crews to ensure high-quality broadcasts. Davis also serves as an adjunct instructor at YSU, teaching classes in the area of sports field production and overseeing students who fulfill experience requirements on athletic broadcasts. Previously, he was the faculty advisor for the Penguin Rundown, a news-style sports show that was created in Bliss Hall?. He has provided vital guidance to numerous students who have attained full-time careers in broadcasting.
A native of Leavittsburg, Ohio, Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications studies from Youngstown State in 2012.
