Jim Morrison joined the Youngstown State Athletic Department following his graduation in the mid 1960's and has been a dedicated staff member ever since. His dedication to the department led to his induction into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.
He serves as the Associate Athletic Director for The Penguin Club and continues to handle scheduling for the football program. Morrison is currently is a part of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
During his tenure he has served in as an Associate Athletic Director for the Athletic Department. Twice he served on the NCAA Division I-AA selection committee.
In 1979, Morrison served as the College Athletes Business Managers Association (CABMA) President.
Morrison played a key role in the development of the Penguin Club, which started in 1974. Today the organization is instrumental in funding scholarships and operating budgets for all athletics programs within the Department.
He first worked as an administrative assistant in the business office for three years before taking over as business manager in 1968. Morrison graduated from Youngstown State in 1965.
Jim and his wife, Cathy, have two sons and five grandchildren.
