Youngstown State University

Brenna Pfahler joined Youngstown State's Sports Medicine family in March of 2023 as a staff athletic trainer. She has worked with the women's basketball program since her start with the Penguins, and she also currently provides care to YSU's men's and women's divers. She previously worked alongside the cheerleading squad.

Before coming to Youngstown State, Pfahler worked at Concordia University-Nebraska as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, providing care for the football, cheer & dance, golf, and baseball programs.

Pfahler also has experience working at Athleticare Sports Health Foundation (St. Louis, Mo.), and Bryan Health (Lincoln Neb.), as an athletic trainer providing outreach to local high schools.  

Pfahler received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2018. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago in 2020. Pfahler’s professional interests include preventative and corrective exercise, manual therapy, rehabilitation, and patient education.
