Anna Braughton is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Youngstown State women's soccer program

Braughton, a four-year starting goalkeeper at the University at the University of Cincinnati, joins Youngstown State from Thomas More University where she served as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the 2025 season. She mentored TMU’s goalkeepers to five shutouts and seven wins, and Tea Pence led the squad with a 1.46 goals-against average, 73 saves and a .811 save percentage.

While at Cincinnati, Braughton made 83 consecutive starts in goal, played 7,502 minutes, and recorded 267 saves with a 1.296 goals-against average and 18 shutouts during her career. She was named team captain and was a 2024 Big XII All-Academic First-Team selection and a 2021 and 2022 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team pick.

Braughton was a member of the Charlotte Lady Eagles WPSL for the 2022 & 2023 seasons, serving as a Team Captain and WPSL National Champion during the 2023 season.

Anna is married to Asher Braughton and they have a cat, JJ.
