Amanda Bertovich joined the Youngstown State Sports Medicine family in November 2022 as a physical therapist working with student-athletes needing long-term rehabilitation at YSU.
Before Youngstown State, Bertovich worked at the Aultman Alliance Community Hospital as an outpatient physical therapist as well as an athletic trainer at St. Thomas Aquinas, Alliance, and West Branch high schools. Bertovich also has experience working at Aultman Main Hospital as an acute care physical therapist and Walsh University Athletics as a student physical therapist.
Bertovich received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University in 2018. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University in 2021. Bertovich’s professional interests include post-operative management and rehabilitation, return to sport testing, dry needling, and other manual therapy techniques.
Outside of work, Bertovich enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, and their son, Bryson.
