2024 (Freshman): Became the fourth Penguin in program history to be named the Horizon League Freshman of the Year…Named Horizon League Freshman Runner of the Week twice (10/8, 10/22)…Competed in six races during the season… Second Team All-Horizon League selection…Finished eighth at the Horizon League Championships with a 6K time of 21:46 (11/2)…Was the second-fastest Penguin as she placed 88th at the  NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships with a 6K time of 23:16 (11/15)…Ran a season-best 5K time of 17:25 at the Joe Piane Invitational Gold Race (10/4)…Placed third at the YSU Alumni XC Meet with a 5K time of 18:21 (9/21)…Ran a season-best 6K time of 20:53 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational (10/18)…Clocked a 5K time of 18:40 at the Tommy Evans Invitational (8/30).

High School: She concluded a stellar prep career with a second-place finish at the 2023 OHSAA D3 State Cross Country Championships...ran a personal-best time of 17:50.1 to win the Cortland Legends Meet on October 7, 2023... Richards earned back-to-back state cross country titles in 2020 and 2021 at the Division III OHSAA State Championships, clocking a time of 18:22.3 in 2020 and a time of 18:16.2 in 2021...placed third in the state meet in 2022...was also a three-time district and regional champion.

Personal: Is the 2024-25 recipient of the Youngstown Road Runners Club Scholarship.
