Donchanok Toburint is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Youngstown State women’s golf coaching staff in 2021-22.
A native of Nonthaburi, Thailand, Toburint spent four years as a member of the Toledo women’s golf team from 2016-20. She carded a career-low round of 74 and a career stroke average of 81.6 during her time with the Rockets. Toburint was a four-time Academic All-MAC selection and a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar. In addition, she was awarded the MAC Commissioner’s award in 2018.
As a junior golfer, Toburint posted a low round of 75 and a stroke average of 77.8. She recorded a two-round 154 (76-78) to finish as the runner-up at the 2014 PTT Blue Innovation Golf A-Class Championships. She finished as the second runner-up at the 2015 Faldo Series Thailand with a two-round 154 (78-76). Toburint fired a three-round 230 (78-77-75) at the 2014 TGA-Singha Junior World Championship. In addition, she represented the Nonthaburi women’s golf team in the 2014 Mahachai Games.
Over the last few years, Toburint has spent time as a caddy for professional players and she has served as an Assistant Golf Instructor in Bangkok, Thailand. As an assistant golf instructor, she has helped adjust the golf swings of junior players and worked with young golfers in areas such as course management, developing strategies and decision-making.
Toburint graduated magna cum laude from Toledo in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in information systems and digital marketing.
